Laurel Luke - Ste Rose School
I received my Bachelor of Education degree and Graduate Diploma in Guidance & Counseling from Brandon University. I have been with Turtle River School Division on and off for the past 20 years. The majority of my teaching career has been at the early years level. My teaching philosophy is to facilitate growth through play-based learning. I believe in the importance of individualized attention for each child's development.
Kendyle Orr - Ste Rose School
My name is Kendyle Orr and I am excited to be joining the school community in Ste. Rose, where I will be mostly teaching Grade 8-11 Math this school year! Recently, I have moved to Glenella to live with my partner. Prior to this, I had been teaching at the high school in Pilot Mound for the last 3 years. In my free time, I enjoy playing and coaching softball and curling. I look forward to meeting lots of new faces!
Donald Slawinki - Ste Rose School
As a member of the community and an alumni of McCreary School, it is my pleasure to be joining Turtle River School Division. I will be working out of Ste. Rose School. My educational background is arts based with music as the main focus. I have and continue to be an advocate for lifelong learning and self-betterment.
Lauryn Dunning - McCreary School
I am Lauryn Dunning, and I’m so excited to be joining McCreary School this fall! I recently graduated from Brandon University, and this will be my first-year teaching. Growing up in McCreary gave me a strong appreciation for farming, nature, and small-town life.
In my free time, I enjoy golfing, curling, and playing hockey. I’m really looking forward to starting this new chapter and becoming part of the school community!
Elena Vaquerano - Ecole Laurier
Hello, my name is Elena Vaquerano. I grew up in Regina, SK, and this will be my fifth year teaching. I spent the last four years teaching in K-12 schools in rural southeast Saskatchewan. I will be joining the staff at École Laurier this year. My favourite subjects to teach are ELA and math. In my free time, I enjoy trail riding with my horse, and crafting, like crocheting baby blankets and sewing. I am greatly looking forward to being in TRSD!
Jessica Wither - Glenella School
My name is Jessica Wither and I will be teaching Grade 2/3 at Glenella School this year! I grew up in Neepawa and I am the oldest of three girls! I graduated in December 2024 from Lindenwood University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and taught Grade One in St. Louis, Missouri last school year. In my free time, I enjoy doing any outside activity, reading, hanging out with family and friends and travelling. I am looking forward to this year in Grade 2/3 and seeing the growth in my students!
