École Laurier presented a Certificate of Achievement!
École Laurier is one of 395 schools that participate in the School Milk Program sponsored by Dairy Farmers of Manitoba. This program started 34 years ago with just a handful of schools.
Mr. Ron Boerchers, National Director of Holstein Canada, presented a Certificate of Achievement to Mme Christine VanHumbeck, principal, and Mme Lyne Pearson, Milk Program coordinator, for having run a successful School Milk Program for 30 consecutive years (1987 to 2017). École Laurier is among 23 schools in Manitoba being acknowledged for celebrating 30 years with the School Milk Program.
Congratulations to École Laurier for this great achievement!
The School Milk Program encourages students to drink milk every day by making it fun and rewarding. All students can participate. Each time your students drink milk at school, bring milk to school from home, or drink milk at home during their lunch hour, they can fill out a ballot for a chance to win fun milk reminders. The School Milk Program encourages positive behaviour and good nutrition by making cold milk available to students while at school and providing the opportunity for students to develop the health habit of drinking milk. Milk at breakfast or lunch helps provide the energy and nutrition students need to perform their best at school. (Dairy Farmers of Manitoba School Milk Program)
